As they say "spring has sprung".I have lived in upstate New York all my 69 years and Spring never ceases to amaze me. It sure is a compelling illustration of the resurrection and the miracles of creation. Like many Brookfielders we have been impatient to plant our garden but now we can ( I hope}. Jesus used many illustrations from nature just as did many Old Testament people. Matthew 13 is a classic text with lessons from how to plant, the problem with weeds,and the story of the mustard seed. We have all been impacted by the current financial crisis. I have heard some comments like " If you are broke, a good place to go is WORK." and "If you are broke don't buy a house, why do you think they call those people Real Estate Brokers?" God says in Isaiah 1:23 "Thy princes are rebellious,and companions of thieves;every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards ...." sounds familiar does it not? Proverbs 3:5,6 is what we all need " Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understnding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."
